What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, company, email address, phone number if you give one, the topic you choose and your message. Providing this information is voluntary, but we can’t reply to an enquiry without a name and email address. Please don’t include sensitive personal information or confidential business records in an enquiry.

Why we collect it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry and to continue the conversation that follows. We don’t use them for marketing lists and we don’t sell or rent them to anyone.

Where it goes

Enquiries are delivered to Fernware staff by email. The website and the enquiry service run on Amazon Web Services in Australia, so your information is processed and may be stored outside New Zealand. Our email and hosting providers handle it on our behalf and only to provide those services. We disclose it to others only where the law requires.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers and doesn’t set tracking cookies. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, and the enquiry service briefly uses your IP address to limit spam.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related correspondence for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our business records, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact our privacy officer, Stephen Burkhart, at stephen@fernware.co.nz, on 07 855 7399, or by post at 13 Woodstock Road, Hamilton 3214. You can also use the contact page.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Our products

This policy covers this website. Information held in OmniTyre, PoolPay, smaft or TopHalfAir is handled under the agreement between Fernware and the business using that product.
